HISTORY
Founded in 2005, Star Circle Pictures is an independent motion picture and television production and development enterprise. For inaugural productions, Player's Joy and Revolver, both released in 2005, SCP received critical praise and began paving the way for a development pipeline that includes theatrical, television and new media properties.
In 2006 Star Circle released Samaritan, a high definition featurette which was engineered as a break-out test of HD and straight to hard disk digital media technologies. With a story that garnered positive reviews and served as the seed of a television property, Samaritan was also recognized by worldwide press as a technological turning point in the production world. With Samaritan, SCP had been the first company in the world to shoot a narrative project utilizing hard disk media capture - bypassing film or tape. As part of this innovation, SCP is the likely 'inventor' of the, now industry norm, Digital Information Technology (DIT) crew position.
With innovation and compelling stories at the heart of our core purpose, Star Circle Pictures believes in creating superior ROI for its partners and investors while creating media that entertains while challenging audiences to see our world in new ways.
